At Aegis-IP we wish to ensure that you fully understand how we use the personal information we collect about you. This Privacy Policy covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our privacy practices. If you have any questions please contact us at the address given at the bottom of our Privacy Policy.

What do we mean by "personal information"?

We define "personal information" as any information that can identify you as a specific person, such as your name or email address.

What information do we collect?

We collect personal information from you in a variety of ways:

  • when you give it to us directly, such as entering a form on our website or on a lead capturing website, such as Facebook;
  • we use third parties, such as Facebook's Pixel, to track which pages on our website are most popular;  and
  • we use cookies to help us personalize your visit to our website.

What do we do with your information?

When we have information about you, we use it in the following ways:

  • to personalize your experience on our website;
  • to improve our website;
  • to respond to your customer service requests;
  • to provide you with services or complete product purchase related transactions;
  • to send you periodic emails; and
  • to administer a contest, promotion, survey, or other website activity;

How long do we keep your information?

We keep your personal information until you submit a request to have your personal information removed.

When do we share your information with others?

We understand how important it is to keep your personal information secure and within the security domain of Aegis-IP. However, under certain circumstances such as listed below, we share your information with others:

  • When we have asked and received your permission to share it.
  • When providing you directly or indirectly Aegis-IP product and services, with entities that are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • When the law requires it. We follow the law whenever we receive requests about you from a government or related to a lawsuit. We'll notify you when we're asked to hand over your personal information in this way unless we're legally prohibited from doing so. When we receive requests like this, we'll only release your personal information if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party's request to disclose your information.
  • When we believe it is necessary to prevent harm to you or someone else. We will only share your information in this way if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of you, our other users, Aegis-IP or the public.
  • If our organizational structure or status changes (if we undergo a restructuring, are acquired, or go bankrupt) we may pass your information to a successor or affiliate.

How do we store and protect your information?

We are committed to protecting your personal information once we have it. We implement physical, business and technical security measures. Despite our efforts, if we learn of a security breach, we'll notify you so that you can take appropriate protective steps.

What else should you know?

If you are under 13, we don't want your personal information, and you must not provide it to us. If you are a parent and believe that your child who is under 13 has provided us with personal information, please use our unsubscribe page to have your child's information removed.

What if we change this privacy policy?

If we find it necessary to change our privacy policy, we will update the online version. If the changes are substantive and we have your email address, we will notify you via email.
